Depicting Ingólfur Arnarsson on his ship throwing overboard his high-seat pillar as they spotted land ahead. They then established their permanent farms at the site where the pillars washed ashore. The first farm established in Iceland, located where the capital, Reykjavík, stands today.

Original design by Icelandic artist and owner of the Saga Museum, Ernst Backman.
