Ernst Backman - Artist and Entrepreneur
Visionary Icelandic designer, Ernst Backman, is the proud owner of the Saga Museum and shop. He created the concept in 1999 and the museum officially opened in 2002. Since then, he and his family have offered a unique perspective on the history of Iceland, through the beautifully crafted statues of the museum and various souvenir items.
His wide range of Viking age inspired utilities and decorations are available in the store.
